The deadline for the upload of contributions to the proceedings is Wednesday, 19 May 2021 at 23:59 (UTC-3)
1. Instructions for Paper Preparation
Use of the JACoW templates is mandatory — always download the latest template (for Word, Latex and Open Document) before starting, even if you are an experienced author and/or have downloaded it for a previous conference. Do NOT reuse the source file from a paper submitted for a previous conference.
Ensure that the template you download corresponds to the version of software you are using. Do NOT convert documents across different platforms, MAC <> PC, or across different versions of Microsoft Word on the same platform. Always use the styles contained in the templates. The styles will automatically ensure correct typesetting and layout.
The correct use of the JACoW template will ensure the paper is not returned to the author for revision.
The Editor in Chief reserves the right to refuse paper publications that do not meet a reasonable level of preparation.
Before submission of Word and Latex documents, use JACoW’s Cat Scan Editor to obtain instant feedback on common formatting problems with your submission. With this tool, created by the team at ANSTO in collaboration with JACoW, you can make corrections to your paper before uploading to SPMS.
At the discretion of the editorial team, papers with an excess of formatting problemswill be returned to the author for revision.
3. JACoW Reference Search and Export
To get citations of JACoW publications correctly formatted every time, use the JACoW search and citation export tool for accelerator conference proceedings, created by the team at ANSTO in collaboration with JACoW. Use this tool for all JACoW conference related citations.
It is crucial that all bibliographical references are written clearly and consistently across all the conference proceedings so that your papers and those of your colleagues can be easily found.
• Always use the EXACT formatting of references and citations in the templates. Examples and details can be found in the Annex B of the full template or on the JACoW website.
• All bibliographical and web references should be numbered and listed at the end of the paper in a section called References.
• When citing a reference in the text, place the corresponding reference number in square brackets, e.g., .
• A URL may be included as part of a reference, but the hyperlink must be removed (in Word use ctrl+k to remove).
At the discretion of the editorial team, papers with badly formatted references will be returned to the author for revision.
5. Length of Contributions
Papers for invited oral presentations may be up to 5 (five) pages long.
Papers for both contributed oral and poster presentations may be up to 3 (three) pages long.
If contributions contain numerous references, these may be carried over to one extra page. Page limits will be strictly adhered to.
All papers exceeding their limit will be returned to the author for revision.
